Coach Sand at the West Elementary has always been a strong supporter of Jump Rope for Heart, a fun celebration which raises money for the American Heart Association.
On Friday, February 12th, students will meet in the airnasium for a jumping good time. Students will jump long ropes, short ropes, use hula hoops and dance to music all in the name of a wonderful cause - but there's a twist this year.
This year, Coach Sand is jumping to the next step and showing her commitment to the cause. If the West Elementary reaches the Jump Rope for Heart school goal of $5,000, then Coach Sand will allow any student that raised a minimum of $20 to literally stick her to the PE trailer using duct tape. After all, it's about "Sticking to the Cause!"
Students have Jump Rope for Heart envelopes with all the directions they need to help "Stick to the Cause" and become sponsored. Students are encouraged to log on to www.americanheart.or/jump to create their own "Heart Hero" webpage to become sponsored.
All West Elementary students and parents are welcome to become involved. Be a "Heart Hero" and help us "Stick to the Cause!" Contact Coach Sand at msand@pinescharter.com for more information on ways you can help your child become a "Heart Hero" and support this wonderful cause.
